Liverpool prove you can win anything with kids by beating Shrewsbury


Today Liverpool cruised past Shrewsbury 4-1 in a game where they played 9 players who don’t normally get game time.


Shrewsbury took the lead against the run of play when in form Daniel Udoh half volleyed his strike home


Liverpool were level when the ball found its way to youngster Kaide Gordon who took a touch and stroked the ball into the net for his first professional goal making him the second youngest player to score for the reds.


Shrewsbury went straight up the other end and thought they had regained the lead through Ryan Bowman only for the assistants flag to end there short lived celebrations


Liverpool took the lead when Ethan Ebanks- Landell handled the ball from a cross gifting them a penalty which Brazilian Fabinho side footed home.


Liverpool didn’t score again until 10 minutes from time when the so called “engine” of the team Roberto firminio slickly back heeled into the net with his back to Goal.


The final goal came in additional time when with the last kick of the game Fabinho doubled his tally for the day when he slotted the ball from a acute angle into the opposite corner of the goal to progress into the 4th round of the fa cup where they will face Cardiff city
